Description
The US Army Engineering and Support Center in Huntsville (CEHNC), Alabama intends to increase the capacity for commercial contract W912DY-06-D-0012 awarded to RS Means by $850,000.000. The current ordering period expiration date of 27 September 2010 for this contract will remain as is. The services required under this basic contract include but are not limited to: Tri Services Automated Cost Engineering Systems (TRACES) Cost Books, Area Cost Factor Surveys, and on occasion Construction Economic Analyses. In addition, the government may request the use of the contractors commercial Construction Models and Assemblies, and miscellaneous construction cost such as Workmans Compensation Rates, City Cost Indexes, Unemployment Rates, etc. THIS IS NOT A FORMAL SOLICITATION. Contractors who feel they can provide the U.S. Army Engineering & Support Center, Huntsville, AL, with the above services are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response which includes the following information: 1. What is the name of your business? 2. What is your business address? 3. Is your firm a large business, small business, a certified 8(a) small business, certified HUBZone business and/or Service Disabled veteran owned concern according to NAICS code 541513? (Specify all that apply.) 4. Does your business currently commercially publish an annual electronic Costbook Database in Masterformat 2004 with at least 50,000 task items related to current vertical and horizontal construction practices? 5. Does your business currently have points of contacts, either within the company or through affiliated companies, around the globe who can collect horizontal and vertical construction related unit cost data? 6. Does your business have the capability, either within the company or through agreements with other companies, to collect unit cost data associated with Hazardous, Toxic Waste (Environmental) Cleanup construction projects? 7. Does your business have the capability to provide city construction cost indexes and location factors for locations around the world? All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a capability statement response to this announcement. Responses shall be submitted by 5:00 PM CST on 31 March 2010. All such responses will be considered by the agency. NOTE: Registration as an interested vendor for the subject solicitation does not in any way exempt firms from submitting the required capability questionnaire. NO HARD COPY OR FACSIMILE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Extraneous materials (brochures, manuals, etc) will not be considered. The Government does not intend to rank submittals or provide any reply to interested firms.
