- The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, North Atlantic Division 11th Annual Small Business Conference, Turning Capabilities into Opportunities. Registration includes symposiums on participating in the contracting process, networking with small and large businesses, District Commanders, Deputies for Small Business, and Program Managers; an exhibit hall; matchmaking-speed dating with large businesses and acquisition personnel; presentation of District Contracting Programs; and lunch with a keynote speaker. Learn about small, medium, and large opportunities in Military Construction, Civil Works, Environmental Projects, Services, and Supplies. The North Atlantic Division obligated $4 billion in contracts [over $1 billion in contracts to small businesses in the preceding fiscal year]. Workshop sessions will address business issues and concerns, and provide specific procurement information that will help increase small business opportunities in the North Atlantic Division. Save the dates May 11th and 12th, 2010. The location of this Small Business Conference is The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center of New York, 655 West 34th Street, New York, NY 10001-1188. The North Atlantic Division Small Business Conference includes Engineer Districts Norfolk, Virginia; Baltimore, Maryland; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; New York, New York; and New England. This Special Notice will be amended to provide information on registering and a registration fee. Please fax or email the attached industry interest forms to the designated point of contact.
