Description
Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Maintenance Training System (MTS) Follow-on Services, Solicitation Number: FA8621-10-R-6252 Update as of 24 Feb 2010: The 677 AESG/SYC anticipates setting aside this acquisition as a Service-disabled Veteran-owned Small Business (SDVOSB) contract. An Industry Day will be held via telecom on Friday, 5 March 2010 from 1:00-3:00 EST. The Industry Day briefing will be posted prior to 5 March 2010. The call-in number is: 937-255-0118. Please provide a list of your company attendees to Marcia Hall, marcia.hall@wpafb.af.mil, NLT COB 3 March 2010 for our record-keeping. A draft PWS is attached for your review and comment. Comments/questions submitted to 677 AESG/SYK, Marcia Hall, marcia.hall@wpafb.af.mil, by COB 3 March 2010 will be discussed during industry day. All answers/responses to the draft PWS questions/comments received will be posted to PIXS after industry day. Initial Synopsis 19 Dec 2009: Request for Information (RFI) for Planning Purposes. This is a Request for Information (RFI) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.215-3 --Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997). The Government is conducting market research to identify, as potential sources, companies that may possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to competently and competitively respond to requirements to provide Contract Logistics Support (CLS) and Contract Support (CS) services for the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Maintenance Training System (MTS) following the end of the existing MTS services contract in September 2011. Only United States companies will be considered for contract award. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this sources sought or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subse! ction 31.205-18, Bid and Proposal costs, of the FAR. Companies responding to this sources sought are advised that participation does not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any expenses associated with preparation or participation in this research. Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI.
