- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) intends to purchase Mass Embryo Production Units for zebra fishes from Aquatic Habitats, 2395 Apopka Blvd -Apopka, FL 32703-7730. The Institute intends to purchase these products by other than full and open competition under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302. The system shall consist of the following: 1.90ML MEPS tank and breeding components - Quantity (2)ea2.Photoperiod Lid 90L MEPS Quantity (2)ea3.300 L MEPS tank and breeding components Quantity (2) ea 4.Photoperiod Lid 300L MEPS Quantity (2) ea5.Onsite Installation6.Shipping and crating This production unit is designed and manufactured by Aquatic Habitats. Aquatic Habitats do not share or re-sell these items to other vendors. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations however, all responses received, within 10 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition. Offerors may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) in writing to the Contracting Office Address listed or via email to: robinsti@mail.nih.gov prior to the closing date of this notice or by March 5, 2010 @ 3p.m. EST. It is anticipated that RFQ - NICHD2010073 will be available fifteen (10) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due seven (7) days after the release of the RFQ. All requests for quotations must have a valid email address. Email quotations must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and an authorized company representative signature.
