- NSN 1005-01-278-6898, Part Number 12556939, The item to procure is a Stock, Gun Shoulder, and is used on the M249 Machine Gun. This part is molded from Plastic, Durethan Polyamide, BKV 130, Black Color, Injection Molded, PA270G30A42600 or PA270G33A42600, dry as molded, ASTM D 4066. The exterior surface finish to be in accordance with Mold-Tech No. MT11010 or Equiv. Matte, finish. The interior surface finish to be as molded. Requirements are 500 Guaranteed Minimum and 45,000 Contract Maximum. FOB is Destination. For use on the M249 Machine Gun. Estimated issue date is 15 Mar 2010. Proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside. A License Agreement between FN Herstal and the US requires the items procured to be manufactured in the US. US means the 50 states and the District of Columbia. The successful offeror under this solicitation agrees to manufacture the items, being procured under this contract, within the US. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capacity to satisfy the Governments requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to Free Trade Agreements. Offers must be submitted in the English language and in U.S. dollars. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements. Offers must be submitted in the English language and in U.S. dollars. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
