- Description
- Design/Bid/Build project to demolish and remove Buildings 216 and 217 entirely. Construct 38 guest rooms in three-stories for the Reserve Lodging Facility to include concrete slab-on-grade, brick veneer on insulated concrete form (ICF) exterior walls, exterior insulation & finish system (EIFS), standing seam metal roof, light gage roof trusses, steel joists with metal deck and concrete floors, suspended tile and gypsum board ceilings, gypsum board partitions, insulating glass units with laminated glass, wood interior doors, aluminum storefront doors, wood casework, oil-less electric traction elevator, trash/linen chutes, interior and exterior lighting, hvac and plumbing systems, communications, electrical work, automatice sprinklers, fire detection, site work, sidewalks, bituminous paving, and utilities. Obtain formal LEED v2.2 silver USGBC Certification using LEED On-Line. The following options may be included: 2 additional options each for 6 Visitor's Quarters room and an additional option for obtaining formal LEED v2.2 gold US Green Building Council (USGBC) Certification. This procurement is set aside for Small Businesses. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 236220, with a size standard of $33.5 million. The estimated price range of this project is $5 to $10 million, but closer to $10 million. Contract duration is approximately 540 days. This project is a single phase Design/Bid/Build Best Value procurement. This process requires potential offerors to submit their performance and capability information for review and consideration by the Government. Potential offerors also are required to submit their technical and cost proposal for consideration by the Government. Evaluation criterion includes Prime Contractor Experience and Prime Contractor Past Performance. Site visit information will be provided in the solicitation document. The proposal due date is on or about 13 April 2010 at 2:00 pm EST. Project documents will be made available on or about 11 March 2010 by download from Internet only. Downloading of the project documents requires registration at the FedBizOpps (FBO) website at https://www.fbo.gov. This announcement serves as the advance notice for this project.
