Description
This is not a Request for Project Proposals (RPP), but for planning purposes only. A project agreement award will not be awarded from this announcement. The Government intends to announce a Request for Project Proposals for execution of project award(s) in support of Nanotechnology related technology areas. In November 2008, the Government posted a Sources Sought Notice to FedBizOps seeking Nanotechnology related consortia. As a result, two viable consortia emerged with differing areas of expertise, the Nano Valley Consortium (NVC) and The Applied Nanotechnology Consortium (TANC). The research areas for which project proposals will be sought from NVC are as follows:a. Printed Electronics and Nano Related Inksb. Nano Enabled or Nanostructured Materialsc. Pilot Scale (beyond the lab) Manufacturing and Processing Sciences for Related Nano Enhanced Productsd. Technology Transition Preparation The Nano Valley Consortium RPP (W15QKN-09-9-0001-RPP2) will be issued to the NVCs Administrative Agent, the National Nanotechnology Manufacturing Center, who will then issue the request to the members of the consortium. For information on the Nano Valley Consortium visit http://NationalNano.info and/or by contacting Tracy Becker, Operations Manager, tbecker@nationalnano.info, 478-289-2346. The research areas for which project proposals will be sought from TANC are as follows:a. Nanoparticle Production Methods/Processing of Nano Compositesb. Laser Processing of Nano-Composite Materialsc. Nanotech Educationd. Nano Energetics and Safe & Arming Solutionse. Advanced Structural Materials and Systems The Applied Nanotechnology Consortium RPP (W15QKN-10-9-0002-RPP1) will be issued to TANCs Administrative Agent, the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Inc., who will then issue the request to the members of the consortium. For information on The Applied Nanotechnology Consortium and/or how to become a member, contact Bob Torrani, Director, btorrani@ccat.us, 860-282-4223.
