Truck Hoist Pic 4 Truck Hoist Pic 3 Truck Hoist Pic 2 Truck Hoist Pic 1 SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. This request is an announcement for information/market research for planning purposes. The synopsis does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, invitation for bid nor does its issuance in any way restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The 377th Contracting Squadron, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico, is seeking potential small and large business sources to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to provide the following: DESCRIPTION: Replace the current electro-hydraulically operated hoist with a manually operated overhead hoist in the Mobile Maintenance Platform, known by the common name of the Weapons Maintenance Truck (WMT). Construct and install a manually operated overhead hoist and support structure using the existing side rails or modify existing structure to accept a manual hoist. The current hoist is rated at 1200 lbs and is an electro-hydraulically operated hoist with hydraulically powered motors for translation along the support rails and across the support structure (translation in the "X" and "Y" directions) which extends out of the rear of the WMT by approximately 8ft. The current hoist is a hydraulically powered wire rope hoist that translates up and down (+Z and -Z) up to 12 ft 6 in. The following is a breakdown of the requirements: Structure and Hoist Hoist and structure must translate on 4 X 4 L Bracket (channel) mounted on the WMT inside walls. The L Brackets are spaced approximately 7 ft 4 ½ inches apart (inside face to inside face) and run for approximately 25.5 feet inside the WMT. All hoist and structural translations (movements) shall be manually driven. The manual movements shall not require more than one person to operate. All hoist and structural translations (movements) shall have integrated stop and hold capability (Positive Control). The hoist and support structure shall not weigh more than the existing hoist and support structure. The hoist and support structure shall be easily maintained using off the shelf tools, lubricants and parts. The hoist should (be designed to) CMAA standards Class:"E" standards if applicable. Hoist and Movement Control only The existing hoist structure is available for re-use. All electrical and hydraulic systems shall be removed and alternate means of manually driving the structure translation shall be provided. The support structure must be able to be manually moved (by a single person) on the existing side rails (while fully loaded) into and out of the back of the Weapons Maintenance Truck (WMT). Respondents to this sources sought are required to provide a rough set of drawings, specification sheets and other supporting documents to convey the nature of their proposed solution. An onsite demonstration and information meeting will be held at Sheppard AFB, TX, future date and time to be determined. The government is not responsible for costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice, to include costs incurred for the demonstration and information meeting. Basic Requirements: a. Provide a manual hoist design solution that demonstrates the capabilities to fit within the desired envelop (volume), and the available support structure that can translate across the desired volume. b. Provide a complete (turn key) installation for a total of 14 WMTs - 1 each at Sheppard AFB, TX and 13 each at Ramstein AB Germany. Qualifications Please provide list of licenses or certifications you feel may assist or provide support to your capabilities package. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ). Firms responding to this announcement should include company name, cage code, point of contact, address and indicate whether they are a small business, 8(a) concern, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, women-owned small business or large business.
