Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.603 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). Submit written offers (oral offers will not be accepted), on RFQ #Q1910100003. This procurement is being issued as 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE under the North American Industrial Classification Standard code 321999 and Small Business Size Standard 500 Emp, applies to this procurement. IAW all firms or individuals responding must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) IAW FAR 52.204-7. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-38. Description of requirements: line item 1Two Full Scale Reproduction British 6 pound field carriages. Museum quality, based on scale drawings from John Muller's Treatise on Artillery. Cannon carriages to be made of high density yellow pine with hand forged 18th Century reproduction ironwork and 50" wooden wheels and include two ammunition boxes with hemp canvas oilcloth covers. Wood must be treated against shrinkage, fungus and destructive pest with ACQ to.40 retention. Carriages must come with a minimum 40 year warranty for outside exhibit. Carriages treated with oil based primer (all through holes painted); metal parts coated with zinc chromate, primed and sealed to prevent water leakage to wood. Two coats of paint (urethane modified industrial enamel) applied. Price to include custom fitting of reproduction six pounder cannon on the carriage. Vendor will pick up and deliver carriage with cannon mounted and install on fields.
