- AMENDMENT A0003 - This amendment changes the solicitation in accordance with the following: The referenced Combined/Synopsis Solicitation is amended to include information for vendors to arrange for a site visit at the Welcome, MD site for installation of the Burn Box Container. Point of Contact for arranging a site visit is: Mr. James Schupe, US Army Research Laboratory, Blossom Point Research Facility, 15000 Blossom Point Road, Welcome, MD 20693. PHONE: 240-882-6775, EMAIL: JShupe@cpsc.gov. In order to accommodate the time required for scheduling purposes, requests for a site visit must be received no later than March 2, 2010 at 3:00PM. Requests for a site visit after March 2, 2010 will not be honored. The new closing date for submission of quotes to this solicitation is March 19, 2010 at 10:00AM. All questions pertaining to this requirement that were received by Friday, February 19, 2010, have been answered and the questions and answers were posted via Amendment A0002 on Friday, February 19, 2010. No further questions can be accepted for this procurement. In addition, the answer to questions #11, #23 and #25 are changed as shown below. Question 11: Is a drawing to be submitted with the bid? Answer: No, the government has provided drawings for which the container should be assembled. Question 23: Is there a drawing approval process once the contract is let prior to fabrication starting? Answer: No, the government has provided drawings to aid in the assembly of the burn box. Question 25. Do prevailing wage rates apply for work done on site? Answer: No, prevailing wage rates do not apply since the Government's requirement is for the tangible deliverable of a burn box instead of services.
