Description
RECOVERY — AGGREGATE SUPPLY AND STOCKPILE – FORKS, WA – OLYMPIC NATIONAL FOREST THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) PROCUREMENT The Forest Service EROC-NW, contemplates releasing solicitation AG-0489-S-10-0307 for ballast aggregate supply and stockpiling on the Olympic National Forest near Forks, in northeast Washington state. The solicitation will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective offerors should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after March 1, 2010 to obtain a copy of the solicitation. No hard copies of solicitation documents will be issued. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. This acquisition will be issued as commercial item service contract. Contractors are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project is for the supply of ballast type aggregate from a commercial source to be hauled to and stockpiled on the Olympic National Forest. The delivery/stockpile location is the Tom Creek Pit, approximately 29 miles north of Forks, WA. The required aggregate must meet a gradation requirement for ballast surfacing, consisting of crushed, partially crushed or naturally occurring granular material. This aggregate is intended for use on recreation trails. Work includes sampling and testing, supply, delivery and placement in a stockpile. Option item quantities may be included. This solicitation is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns. Offerors will be required to provide Questionnaire responses covering aggregate development and testing experience and past performance as well as price proposals. Award will be made to the offeror whose overall proposal affords the best overall value to the government. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency.
