- RECOVERY - Rehabilitate Historic Elevator in Vanderbilt Mansion, Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site, Hyde Park, NY. VAMA 152418 TAS: 14-1041 The work of this contract consists of the rehabilitation of the Vanderbilt Mansion historic elevator including updating the operating machinery and safety and control systems with modern equipment while preserving the historic car, doors, lighting, and control devices that are visible to the public. The existing motor, gearing and motor brake will be rehabilitated, new hoist cables and cable brake installed, and new governor mechanism installed. Car guides and brakes will be rehabilitated. The car gate operator will be rehabilitated. A new electronic control system and all associated wiring and sensors will be installed. All shaft and pit safety equipment and devices will be rehabilitated or replaced. All visible call panel components will be re-used with updated devices concealed beyond. A reproduction glass car light lens will be fabricated. Carry out construction work under this contract in a manner which minimizes disturbance to normal park operations and visitor use. In accordance with Public Law 100-656, Small Business Competiveness Demonstration Program, this procurement is open to all sized businesses. All contractors experienced in this type of construction work may compete for this contract. Estimated project magnitude is between $250,000 and $500,000. This procurement is being issued as UNRESTRICTED and is therefore subject to Federal Acquisition Regulation 52.219-4, Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for Hubzone Small Business Concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238990 with a small business size of $14 million of annual average gross revenues of the total concern for the last 3 fiscal years. A small business concern is defined as a concern (including all of its subsidiaries) having less than or equal to $14 million annual average gross revenues of the total concern for the last 3 fiscal years.
