- Stewardship project in accordance with Section 323 of Public Law 108-7 (16 U.S.C. 2104 Note, as revised February 28, 2003 to reflect sec. 323 of J.J. Res. 2 as enrolled), the Consolidated Appropriations Resolution, 2003, amending Public Law 105-277, sec. 347. This is a commercial item acquisition that has been tailored to fit the Government’s method of trading goods for services. Work includes a mix of commercial and non-commercial thinning of forest product to reduce hazards from fire and insects. Also included are the removal, piling and or mastication of slash, construction of fire line and closure of temporary road that has been constructed to facilitate work on the ground.
