Description
NSN: 4810-00-314-9989 HS. OEM Code: 60029 PN: 3151-115. Description: Solenoid Valve. When energized the component directs pressurized fluid to the switching valve in response to a flight deck command to engage the CAS mode operation. When de-energized, it blocks pressurized fluid to disengage the CAS mode operation. Dimensions are approximately 2 inches long by.75 inches wide by 2.5 inches high. Material is steel. Quantity: Total 3 Year Best Estimated Quantity of 789 each. First Year Order of 434 each; Second Year Order of 180 each; Third Year Order of 175 each. Total Contract Maximum Quantity is 1184 each. Destination: A FB2029, Hill AFB UT. Delivery Schedule: 434 each on or before 31 MAR 2010. This is a sole source requirement to GE Aviation Systems (CAGE Code 60029). The data needed to procure this part competitively is not physically available, cannot be obtained economically, nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications or any other adequate, economical description of the material for competitive solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to Free Trade Agreements. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call the Ombudsman at (405) 734-8253. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER FOR SOLICITATION REQUESTS. Based upon market research, the Government is not using policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested parties may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. Request for Written Quotation/Proposal will be issued. Only written or faxed request received directly from the requestors are acceptable. The anticipated award date will be 60 to 90 days after the issuance of this notice.
