- MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICES FOR AN FEI SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE: The solicitation number is FA8601-10-T-0119. The NAICS Code is 532490. The size standard is $7M. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed source is FEI Company, Hillsboro, OR. The purpose of the services is as follows: Service agreement for maintenance of an FEI Scanning Electron Microscope. The government anticipates a sole source award to FEI for the following reason: FEI engineers are factory-trained and have full access to system hardware, software, updates, parts, proprietary test tools and software passwords for service access. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received within fifteen(10) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
