- Description
- This is Department of Veterans Affair's notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract under Public Law 109-461 to a "Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business", and under commercial items Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) parts 12 & 15. The award will be to provide a contract for the Period of Performance of April 9, 2010 through June 30, 2010, for project management services for the deployment of Regional Data centers (RDC). The RDC's will host, operate and maintain a limited number of shared applications and services as the first in a series of projects that will consolidate all VA enterprise Information Technology (IT) systems under the National Data Center Program. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this action is 541611 and the business size standard is $7.0 Million. This notice is not a request for quote/proposal. Another award is anticipated to follow this effort that should run at least 12 months with the potential of option years, and interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities for the next effort by submittal of a capability statement which must include enough technical material/information for evaluation to verify their ability to satisfy the Government's requirement. All parties will identify themselves to the Contracting Officer no later than March 8, 2010 by close of business (2:30 PM CST).If no responses are received regarding the proposed April 9, 2010 project by March 8, 2010, close of business (2:30 PM CST), VA will pursue a sole source contract with HMS Technologies, Inc.
