Description
RECOVERY ACT ACTION THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY UNDER THE NATIONAL LIBRARY OF MEDICINE (NLM), LISTER HILL CENTER (LHC), Carahsoft Technology (DUNS# 0883657567). In accordance with FAR Part 5.7 Publicizing Requirements under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) this is a notification of intent to award a competitively awarded fixed priced delivery order using American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding. The contract is for Information Technology Services, including telecommunications services and was previously competed and awarded in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Part 8.402 Federal Supply Schedules. It is the intent of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Library of Medicine (NLM) to award a purchase order to Carahsoft Technology (DUNS# 0883657567).The deliverables are servers for the SSO customer are scheduled for server refresh and the government will benefit by ensuring that hosted systems will continue to operate on newer hardware running at optimal levels and consuming less rack space, less power and less cooling resources. In addition, having a dedicated vmware cluster for the SSO project meets the SSO customer requirements for a dedicated vmware solution that ensures that only SSO servers will use the available resources of the cluster and allow HSB to readily provision the servers needed by the SSO Project Team.
