- SOLICITATION FOR CLEANING AND LOGDING MANAGEMENT SERVICES. The U.S. Department of Commerce (USDOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric and Administration (NOAA), and Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL) intends to procure cleaning/lodging management services at the Lake Michigan Field Station, 1431 Beach Street, Muskegon, MI. The Lake Michigan Field Station is comprised of research laboratories, offices, shop facilities and dormitory rooms for visiting scientists. There are three buildings at this location. Building #1 houses the dormitory rooms located on three different floors, office spaces, a conference room and a laboratory. Building #2 houses ship operations personnel, an administrative technician and shop spaces. Building #3 houses office and laboratory space. Services are to be performed in all buildings. During the field season of April through October, there is a high level of activity at the station. The contractor shall provide housekeeping and lodging services for Buildings 1, 2 and 3, and must be completed during normal business hours. The period of performance is a base year and 4- 12 month option years. The NAICS code for this action is 561720. This service is being procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. The Easter Region Administrative Division (ERAD), requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) before October 1, 2003.
