- Description
- This is a Notice of Intent to a Follow-On to an existing contract using Other than Full and Open Competition and is not a request for competitive proposals. There will be no soliciation. NAICS code is 454312. The National Park Service, Mesa Verde National Park, Montezuma County, Colorado has plans to award to Fraley & Company, Inc. for propane used in the heating and cooling of buildings, and rental of 29 tanks ranging from 250 gallons to 1000 gallon located within the park boundaries. Fraley & Company, Inc owns 85% of the propane tanks located within Mesa Verde National Park. No other propane company can fill another company's tanks per Colorado State Satute 8-20-302. Also, due to the time and distance to deliver propane in the park, it would not be cost effective for another company to fill the remaining 5 tanks owned by the Park. The determination of the Government, not to open subject requirement to Full and Open Competition, was made unter FAR Part 6.302-1. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negoiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon resposes to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received may be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
