- Notice to extend solicitation issue date to 26-Feb-2010. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Hurricane Protection Office (HPO) is seeking firms for the requirement entitled HPO, LPV 109.02b, I-10 Crossing, New Orleans East Levee Enlargement, Orleans Parish, and Louisiana. Work includes raising the existing I-10 interstate highway ramp to a higher elevation and enlarging the existing adjacent levee. New work includes raising the existing 6 lane (3 west bound and 3 east bound) I-10 interstate earth ramp, enlarging approximately 360 feet of existing levee, construction of temporary detour roads, construction and removal of 400 feet long temporary bridge over Irish Bayou Lagoon. Work also includes asphaltic pavement, installation of wick drains, steel piling, and construction of concrete and steel bridge structure. The contractor will b e required to meet all LADOTD requirements for construction specific to the roadway.
