Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is seeking sources for a construction project entitled, Ice Harbor South Shore Storage Building. This will be a firm-fixed-price construction contract. Construction magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Summary of Statement of Work Construct a pre-engineered metal building in the storage area on the south shore of the Snake River, downstream of the Ice Harbor Lock and Dam near the City of Burbank, Walla Walla County, Washington. Construct a 140 foot by 80 foot pre-engineered metal building, consisting of two 60 foot by 80 foot concrete aprons. The pre-engineered metal building system shall be provided by a single manufacturer and include all components and assemblies that form a complete building. The building shall have structural steel main building frames and secondary framing including purlins and girts, engineered and fabricated by the building systems supplier. The building shall have vertical steel insulated walls and a gable roof system including gutters and downspouts. The building shall consist of single-span or multiple-span structures with rigid frames in the transverse direction (no vertical supports in center of building). Exterior doors, overhead doors and louvers shall be included with the metal building system. Power and protective bollards shall also be provided. Government furnished chain link fencing shall also be installed around perimeter of facility. Electrical power will be provided by Ice Harbor Powerhouse. Power line will be brought to the building via a trenched and buried conduit, with at least one spare conduit for telecom/low voltage purposes. This sources-sought announcement is a tool to identify concerns with the capability to accomplish the work. This is not a solicitation. Only those firms who respond to this announcement by submitting a statement of their current or past technical experience (what the firm has done) and current or past performance (how well the firm did it) similar to or the same as the requirements stated above, will be used in the determination of whether to set aside this requirement. The North American Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 236220 and the associated small business size standard is $33,500,000.
