Description
Statement of work Note: Original Posting under NICHD2010070 The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD have a requirement to procure the services of an Obstetrician for Maternal-Fetal Medicine with an expertise in the conduction of systematic reviews and meta-analyses (educational and research) to analyze and summarize the existing literature and to provide other services. SEE ATTACHED STATEMENT OF WORK. This acquisition is being conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. This will be a fixed priced procurement. The purpose of such systematic reviews is to identify questions and efficiently and rigorously summarize the available evidence in subjects related to the research agenda of the Branch. Examples of subjects include (but not limited to) the following: 1)Maternal inflammation in the etiology and pathogenesis of preeclampsia: a systematic review 2)Relationship between fetal malformations and the risk of preeclampsia: a systematic review and meta-analysis. 3)Amniotic fluid embolism: an evidence-based review. 4)Combined use of cervicovaginal fetal fibronectin and cervical length measurement to predict spontaneous preterm delivery in women with preterm labor: a systematic review 5)The role of asymmetric dimethylarginine in the etiology and pathogenesis of preeclampsia: a systematic review. 6)Risk of preeclampsia in women living at high altitude: a systematic review 7)Effect of climatic and meteorological factors on risk of preeclampsia: a systematic review Example of needed (but not limited to) educational services: 1.Participate in videoconference and teleconferences periodically, to ensure progress with the projects 2.Visit the NICHD (site-visit location is Wayne State University in Detroit, MI) four times a year, and spend ten days to conduct work related to the systematic reviews and meta-analyses, participate in conferences, research rounds, and other activities related to this contract. Period of Performance will be for one full calendar year. On-site performance is not required. Basis for Award: Offerors must provide descriptive literature or other material that demonstrates their offer meets the forgoing requirements with their RFQ response. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose offer fully meets the requirements of the solicitation and provides the best value to the Government. Offerors may request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) via email to: robinsti@mail.nih.gov prior to the closing date of this notice or before March 1, 2010 @ 3:00 pm EST. It is anticipated that RFQ - NICHD2010070 will be available eleven (11) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due seven (7) days after the release of the RFQ. All requests for quotations must have a valid email address. Email quotations must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and an authorized company representative signature.
