This amendment will delete the " Small Business Sub-contracting plan" section of Volume 1 of the Specifications. Question: In Section 00120 - Supplementary Instructions to Bidders, it mentions that there are Geotechnical Reports available. Nevertheless, after reviewing the documents available online it seems they have not been made available. Where can we obtain these reports? Answer: The soil investigation reports are included electronically for information only via this amendment. Question: Standard Form 1442, requires for us to provide a "Contract No." & a "Requisition/Purchase Request No." We have not been able to find these numbers in the documents that are available. Could you please provide us those numbers to fill out the form? Answer: The contract number is the same as the solicitation #: GS-02P-10DT-C-0005 The "Requisition/Purchase Request No." does not need to be included. Question: All the contract drawings and specifications are detailed using the Metric System. How will this apply to pipe diameters for plumbing, electrical piping, site utility piping etc.? Example, will a pipe diameter of 15cm (conversion= 5.91 inches)be considered as a six in pipe, or do we have to purchase special piping in the metric system. Please clarify what is the intent of the Government and how will this issue be solved. What should we consider in our proposal? Answer: Special piping will not be required. A 6" pipe will be acceptable. All of the piping and conduit was designed using standard imperial sizes that were then converted to metric units. So the imperial equivalent is acceptable. Question: In relation to the above referenced project, Section 00120 (Supplementary Instruction to Bidders section 2 states that the geotechnical reports on section 2.01 would be provided on a CD with the specifications and drawings. We have not found these reports on the downloaded files. How can we access these reports? Answer: The reports are provided for information only via this amendment. Question: Section 31-2000-2 states: During the course of the site preparation and earthwork activities, fill will be required to raise site grades, backfill around pile caps, behind walls, excavations, utility trenches, and landscaping areas. The Contractor shall use the different types of materials specified herein as directed by the Contracting Officer and Geotechnical Engineer. The Contractor shall provide, at time of bid, unit prices for the imported materials. Supplementary Form 1442 does not provide a Space for this unit price. Can we write it in without invalidating our bid? Answer: Unit prices are not required. The Contractor shall include all costs in their bid. The contractor shall ignore all references to unit prices in the specifications. Question: Drawing AS 1(Architectural Site Plan) shows a new Anti ramp fence from north to south adjacent to the existing Federico Degetau Bldg. The same fence is shown "existing to remain" on Drawing CS 101A (Civil Site Plan). Please clarify extent of anti ramp wall in this area. Answer: For the base contract, the existing fence is to remain as shown on CS101A. For the option a new anti-ram fence as shown on CS101B is required. Question: In section 00120 - Supplementary Instructions to Bidders Section 4.02 reference is made for ORCA registration which we have done. Do we have to submit GSA forms 3503? In notice to bidder Item 5, we could not find the referenced form GSA 3503 (Certifications and Representation) in the GSA website. What is to be submitted with the proposal? Answer: Form 3503 is no longer required. The only requirement is ORCA registration.
