- Description
- RECOVERY - This project consists of placing and compacting 52 cy contractor furnished gravel base where needed on campsite roadway/campsite pads and placing 1895 tons of hot asphalt in 2” overlay where specified and 4” pavement where specified. Contractor will provide contract tonnage of asphalt, verifying tonnage by weight tickets on each load. Contractor furnished aggregate will be hauled and delivered to site. Contractor will prepare and pave 54 campsite approaches as marked, overlay.85 miles of roadway pavement, construct two Host campsite pads, construct one fee station turnout, construct a speed table, paint a timber foot bridge and pave 1769 feet of trail. Contractor will notify the Forest Service 48 hours prior to any paving operations so that locally impacted users may be notified. Contractor will be allowed to work Monday thru Friday, with typical work hours between 7AM and 7PM. Contractor may ask for a variance in hours from the Contracting Officer. No work will be performed on Holidays. Contractor is required to control traffic per MUTCD Standards with flaggers when necessary. Contractor will ensure delays of no more than one hour during construction.
