- This is a 100% HUBZONE set-aside procurement and issued under NAICS code 238160. The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for the removal of the existing roofing material to include bituminous membrane, flashing and edge metal, rigid insulation, and light weight cement fill down to structural concrete deck; installing a new EPDM roof covering, repair of numerous mechanical ventilation handler casings, and repair of the roof drainage system. The Contractor shall clean and repair roof drains; check the condition of all existing roof drain domes; replace all missing or broken with new; clear any plugged drains and tie into the existing storm drain pipe; provide and install new roof curb, back draft dampers, and relief air hoods; and install new EPDM roof. Principal features of the work include mobilization and demobilization, demolition of existing roof material, curbs, roof drains, air intake hoods and back draft dampers; installing new EPDM roofing system, curb, opening of roof drains, repair of roof drain caps, environmental protection, all work at the site, and all work incidental thereto. The value of the proposed work is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Web Page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Bidders may register on the Interested Vendors List (IVL) at http://www.fbo.gov/ and retrieve an IVL from the same location. Compact disc and hardcopies will not be available. Bidders should check often for changes (AMENDMENTS). Issue date on or about February 22, 2010. Bid opening date on or about March 25, 2010.
