Description
VA SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENTPLACE OF PERFORMANCE: NY Harbor Healthcare System 800 Poly Place Brooklyn, NY 11209 Contact Information: Bogdan Vaga Administrative Contracting Specialist Bogdan.vaga@va.gov THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS ANNOUNCMENT The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking qualified vendors who are capable of completing the following proposed project. GENERAL CONSTRUCTION: Work includes but is not limited to: Gut rehabilitation of approximately 9000 square feet of space to accommodate the new Supply, Processing, and Distribution (SPD) Department Satellite Area and additional auxiliary support spaces on the 4th floor North East wing of Building 1. SPD Satellite will be constructed at the same time as the OR Renovation construction project. Work includes, but is not limited to, demolition of existing partitions, doors, and door frames, plumbing and lighting fixtures. Work also to include new HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting, fire suppression system, security system, and modification of medical gas system, as specified in the construction documents. Construct cart wash room and sterile supply storage room. Also construct new decontamination room and clean/sterile room with a locker room area including a bathroom and shower, and auxiliary support rooms for the area. SPD equipments such as Sterilizers, Pass-thru washers, Sonic Washers, ETOs will also be installed. Construction will also include new casework, lockers, metro-wire shelving on casters, stainless steel cabinets, and countertops as shown on the construction documents. Work also includes construction of new male and female locker rooms as shown on the construction documents. Construct new Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and its support spaces as shown on the construction documents. Perform Asbestos abatement as specified in the construction documents after hours or on weekends on occupied areas. Construction work to be done in phases. Contractor cannot begin next phase until prior phase is completed. Phasing is specified in the contract drawings. Contractor must conform to NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NFPA 99 Healthcare Facilities, and current Infection Control and VA Standards and Criteria as per the contract specifications. Contract Completion Time: 450 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed NAICS CODE: 236220 RANGE: $5,000,000 - $10,000,000 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The solicitation to the proposed project would be open to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) as registered in www.ccr.gov and www.vetbiz.gov The solicitation would be proposed based upon favorable responses and interest from SDVOSBs that are or would be registered in www.ccr.gov and www.vetbiz.gov and https://orca.bpn.gov and https://vets100.ets.dol.gov by the time of the bid opening. Interested parties must send an e-mail to bogdan.vaga@va.gov In the e-mail, please list the following: 1)Company Name 2)Head of company and/or Management 3)Address of Company 4)Confirmation Statement that the company is able to acquire bonding and has the required bonding level to bid and perform this proposed project. 5)A listing of up to three (3) similar projects that the company has completed and the price of each project. The range of this proposed procurement is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The interested parties and eventual bidders must have the required bonding capacity for the Bid Bond and then the Performance and Payment Bonds.
