Description
The United States Air Force through Global Logistics Support Center (GLSC) at Oklahoma City Logistics Center (OC-ALC) is contemplating to procure the repair of Line items cited below for a firm fixed-priced Requirements type contract with one (1) basic year and four (4) one year options with 100% contractor furnished material. This is a sole source integration and repair effort to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) - Prototype Engineering. History: Previous acquisition 7 September 2005, Prototype Engineering. 1. Estimated issue date and estimated closing/response date issued: 5 March 2010 and 5 April 2010. 2. PR # FD2030-10-26885 3. Repair 4. AMC- N/A 5. Noun- Emergency Flasher 6. NSN- 6340-00-624-7667RK and/or 6340-00-627-1590RK 7. P/N- A96-1B and/or T201B 8. Description- Repair of Emergency Flasher. Applicable to the B-52 Aircraft. The work encompasses the disassembly, cleaning, inspection, maintenance, reassembly, testing, and finishing actions required to return the items to a serviceable condition. Additional guidance to support the repair will be stipulated in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). 9. Total Line Item Quantities: Item 0001- BEQ Basic Year: 12 ea BEQ Option Year I: 12 ea BEQ Option Year II: 12 ea BEQ Option Year III: 12 ea BEQ Option Year IV: 12 ea Item 0002- Data in accordance with DD1423 and CAV AF Statement of Work - NSP (Not Separately Priced) Item 0003 - Over and Above (TBD) 10. Application- B-52 Aircraft 11. Destination- FB 2039, Tinker AFB, OK. 73145-9013 12. Delivery- Item 0001: 3 each per month beginning 30 days ARO or repairable assets received for Basic Yr, Option Yr I, Option Yr II, Option Year III and Option Yr IV. 13. Qualification Requirements- N/A 14. Export Control: N/A 15. If unit price exceeds $5,000, then UID requirements will apply. 16. Mandatory Language- An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from Offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. The proposed contract action is for repair, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Approved Source is Prototype Engineering located in Gardena, CA. A Determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with Prototype Engineering.
