- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: PROJECT HSCG82-10-B-PMVA46. THIS PROJECT IS SET-ASIDE FOR CERTIFIED SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. THE INVITATION FOR BID (IFB) WILL BE ISSUED 15 DAYS FROM THE POSTED DATE OF THIS NOTICE. THE BID OPENING DATE IS FEBRUARY 17, 2010, AT 2:00 PM (EST). The estimated value of this procurement is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The applicable North American Industry Class System (NAICS) code is 237990. The small business size standard is a three-year averaged annual gross receipt of $33.5 million. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. The solicitation in its entirety and any amendments will be available at no charge online at http://www.fbo.gov under the above solicitation number. This project is to provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment and transportation required to demolish and dispose of the existing wharf of approximately 3,500 SF, and the construction of a new wharf within the same footprint as the existing wharf in accordance with the project specifications and drawings excluding the wood piles and beams fender system. The new wharf shall be constructed of pre-cast concrete piles and reinforced concrete beams and deck. Steel cleats and access ladders shall be installed at the locations shown on the project drawings. New electrical, communications, potable water and sanitary sewer shore ties shall be installed in the new wharf. Additional work includes furnishing all labor, tools, equipment and materials and transportation required to construct the wood fender system for the above referenced wharf facility. The fender system shall include all wood piles, wood beams and steel connections as specified in the project drawings and specifications. The project work site is the Shore Side Detachment, 60 East First Street, Dubuque, Dubuque County, Iowa 52001-7652. The performance period is 270 calendar days.
