Description
SYNOPSIS The Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) at Kirtland AFB, NM is inviting interested contractors to an Industry Day on Thursday and Friday, March 4 and 5, 2010. It will be hosted at the DMOC Facility, 4500 Aberdeen Drive SE, Bldg. 942, Kirtland AFB, NM 87117. Sign-in for Industry Day will be at the Front Desk from 0700 to 0730 am. DMOC will be discussing the upcoming Technical Support Contract (TSC) Source Selection with Industry and interested parties will have the opportunity to provide feedback on the draft Request for Proposal to be posted on FedBizOpps sometime prior to Industry Day. The Thursday 4 March 2010 schedule is as follows: 0700 - 0730 Sign-In 0730 - 0845 Registration and Collection of Questions 0845 - 0900 Opening Remarks and Agenda 0900 - 0945 Contracting Presentation 0945 - 1045 DMOC Technical Presentation 1045 - 1100 Questions/Answers 1100 - 1200 Tour of Battlespace 1200 - 1215 Closing Remarks/ Wrap-Up 1215 - 1300 Lunch 1300 - 1600 Scheduled Contractor One-on-One sessions (45 minute intervals) Friday 5 March 2010 is reserved from 0730-1230 to continue the scheduled Contractor One-on-One For pre-arranged 45 minute sessions. The 45 minute sessions will be assigned in random order. To attend, interested vendors should contact Maria Appelzoller, Program Manager, with the name of the company, names of individuals attending, contact phone number and if a one-on-one session is desired. Registration closes on Monday, 1 March 2010 at 3:00 pm Mountain Standard Time. All companies that have registered and requested a one-on-one session will be notified on Tuesday 2 March 2010 their one-one-one assigned slot. Background: The scope of this acquisition is support the 705 CTS and its wide range of national and international customers. The purpose of the contract is to acquire technical and analytical expertise for the execution of DMOC training events, test and experimentation active, and system development in support of battlespace operations. This effort includes program management and engineers support task for the following five primary mission areas: 1) Internal Training Events - DMOC internal training events include major exercise events such as Virtual Flag (VF) and smaller scale training events such as Warfighter Focused Events (WFEs), Joint Kill Chain Events (JKCEs), and Air Force Weapons School Training Events (WSTEs). 2) External Training Events - External Training event examples include Northern Edge (NE), Fleet Synthetic Training - Joint (FST-J), and Northern Goshawk (NG) exercises. 3) Testing Events - Testing event examples include the Joint Command & Control of Net-Enabled Weapons (JC2NEW) and Joint Fires Coordination Measures (JFCM) joint tests. 4) Experimentation Events - Experimentation event examples include Defense of the Home Against Missile Attacks (DoHMA) and Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) events. 5) Projects - The 705 CTS manages a large number of Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) and facility improvement projects aimed at improving Modeling and Simulation (M&S) capability within DoD and the international community.
