- Description(s): THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) of 2009; interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful bidder. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered AG-82B1-S-10-0000 on or about April 7 for the RECOVERY Road 202 Resurfacing Project. If the solicitation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective bidders should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after March 17, 2010 to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information about this acquisition will be distributed solely through this website. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201; however, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation. RECOVERY Blacktail Restoration Project, Nez Perce National Forest. The project consists of road obliteration by recontouring and decompacting, as well as soil restoration on the Clearwater Ranger District. Work includes surface decompaction and restoring natural slopes on features such as roads, skid trails, excavated skid roads and log landings. Work also includes seeding, fertilizing and applying straw mulch or available slash on disturbed soil, and spot-construction of drainage ditch to drain wet areas. PROJECT LOCATION: From Grangeville, Idaho--The project area is located approximately 11 miles north on State Hwy 13, then approximately 7 miles south-southeast on Forest Road 244 (Lightning Creek). The main roads accessing the features to be treated are Forest Roads 244, 337 (Green Cr Point) 337A (Wall Point), 1104 (Green Creek) and 1106 (Sears Creek). There is no pre-bid/pre-conference scheduled for this effort. Questions regarding the project may be directed to Joseph Bonn, Nez Perce National Forest, 208-983-1950. The project cost estimate is between $100,000 and $250,000. Performance and payment bonds will be required per the Miller Act and Davis Bacon wage rates will apply. All responsible Small Business sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the Government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
