- NSN(s): 2815-01-169-4355 Item Description: Piston, Internal Combustion Engine Manufacturer’s Code and Part Number : Fairbanks Morse Engine (82796) P/N: 16608300 Quantity (including option quantity): 57 AY/114 AY with 100% option Delivery Schedule: 185 days Description: NSN 2815-01-169-4355– Piston, Internal Combustion Engine being bought in accordance with Fairbanks Morse Engine (82796) P/N: 16608300. Based on market research this item is manufactured for military use only and is not commercial; therefore, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12 in its solicitation for this item. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government’s requirement with a commercial item with 15 days of this notice. The required quantity is 57 AY with an option to purchase an additional 57 AY.. FOB destination and inspection at destination is required. This solicitation will be available on the Internet at http://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/rfp after the issue date of 22 Feb 2010. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. There are no technical drawings/bid sets available. This solicitation is not set-aside for small business. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, and past performance. The required delivery is 185 days. One or more of the items under this acquisition may be subject to an Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the US by the Trade Agreements Act of 1979. All offers shall be in the English language and in US dollars. All interested suppliers may submit an offer. TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: Unrestricted
