- NASA/KSC has a requirement for various replacement helicopter parts to include ORings, Strap Assembly, Seal Assembly, and Parts Kit Main Rotor Rotating Control Bolts.The attached spreadsheet includes the National Stock Number and quantity for thisrequirement. All parts must be new. Refurbished parts are not acceptable. Vendors shallinclude the part number and description of each item quoted.This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation,which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and awritten solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to acquire a commercialitem using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part13. The provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2005-38. If the endproduct(s) offered is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clauseentitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the offeror shall so state and shall list thecountry of origin. All quotes must include solicitation number, FOB destination to KSC,proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration, taxpayeridentification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, be signed byan authorized company representative, and a detailed description of all items quotedaccounting for all aspects of the specifications. All offerors must have an activeCentral Contractor Registration (CCR) and registered in ORCA. This information can befound at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/ and https://orca.bpn.gov/login.aspx. Selection andaward will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. Technicalacceptability will be determined by review of information submitted by the offeror whichmust provide a description in sufficient detail to show that the products offered meetsthe Government's requirements.Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing to Donny Wood, OP-OS,Kennedy Space Center FL 32899, donald.wood@nasa.gov no later than February 18, 2010.Offerors will submit quotes via email to the address above by 7:00 AM, EST February 25,2010. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release ofamendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copyof this notice, and amendments (if any). An ombudsman has been appointed - See NASASpecific Note "B".
