- Description
- The U.S. Forest Service, EROC-NW, Region 6 has a requirement for the reconditioning 0.4 miles of forest road and ditch, installing culvert, removal of a culvert, installing drivable waterbars, installing rolling dips and filling an eroded embankment. The reconditioning work includes scarifing the surface if needed and reestablishing the ditch line, shaping and compacting the surface, and cleaning and shaping ditches for positive drainage. The contractor shall provide all management and project administration services, quality control, logistical support, vehicles, equipment, materials and supplies required to complete the project on time and within schedule in compliance with drawings and specifications. The period of performance is 30 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. The anticipated start work date is July of 2010 weather depending. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated requiring submission of past performance and price. Award will be made to the offeror whose quote offers the best value to the Government. The estimated construction range of magnitude is less than $25,000. This acquisition is a 100% Emerging Small Business set-aside. Contractors are required to be certified by the Small Business Administration, registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). The solicitation with specifications and wage rates will be posted to the https://www.fbo.gov/ website on or about March 1, 2010. It is anticipated that quotes shall be due on March 24, 2010. No hard copies of the solicitation and applicable amendments will be mailed or issued. To receive the Request for Quote package and any applicable amendments, offerors must download them from the https://www.fbo.gov/ website.
