- Arcata Associates, Inc. has a requirement for one (1) each Syslog-ng PremiumEdition Unlimited LSH and one (1) each Maintenance for one year to include technicalsupport.ONLY authorized resellers of this product are encouraged to bid. Bids from non-authorizedreseller suppliers will not be accepted.The product capability is to maintain security of the system logs, the product must bepossible of encrypting the logs sent from the client machine to the server that willstore the logs. The syslog-ng application enables you to send log messages of your hoststo a central logserver using the latest syslog protocol standards. Using mutuallyauthenticated and TLS-encrypted channels maintains the confidentiality of the transferredinformation. Syslog-ng can store log messages securely in encrypted, compressed,indexed, and timestamped binary files, so any sensitive data is available only forauthorized personnel who have the appropriate encryption key. All system messages must becaptured. The Syslog-ng product buffers the messages to the hard disk which helps toavoid losing messages even if the logserver becomes temporarily unavailable. Dataencryption and protection is a key requirement in supporting IT Security data. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are beingrequested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to usethe On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above orit may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. Theinformation required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ.Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing toDFRC-DL-arcata-procurement@mail.nasa.gov no later than February 19, 2010. It is thequoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, theon-line RFQ and amendments (if any).
