- J&A for a 1-month extension The purpose of this document is to obtain the necessary approvals permitting other than full and open competition to provide for a 1-month contract extension. For this acquisition, the restriction applies to the incumbent contractors currently performing under the requested particular services effort contracts shown above. The statutory authority for permitting other than full and open competition for this acquisition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(d)(1)(B)(i) and is identified in FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The one (1) month extension is planned in order to support mission critical tasks without a disruption in service.
