Description
The DoDEA Pacific Procurement Division, Okinawa, Japan is providing this notification to announce the upcoming solicitation for Guam School Lunch Food Services to support four (4) DoDEA Pacific schools in Guam. This competitive procurement will be a small business set-aside in accordance with FAR 19. Description of work: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material for meals, supplies, tools, transportation, quality control and supervision necessary to provide full food services at DoDEA Pacific schools in Guam. The scope of work will include, but not be limited to, preparation and service of lunch meals that are in accordance with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) compliance standards, and also the cleaning of kitchen and dining facility areas. The period of performance shall be a base period of one (1) year plus four option years thereafter, with a tentative contract start date of 01 July 2010. The contract type is Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), and applicable USDA subsidies will be provided in accordance with the USDA's National School Lunch Program. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 722310, with a size standard of $20.5 million. Proposals received will be evaluated using best value trade-off source selection procedures pursuant to FAR 15. Solicitation issuance is tentatively scheduled on/or about February 11, 2010. A Pre-Proposal Conference and Site Visit is tentatively scheduled for March 3, 2010 at the DoDEA Pacific District Superintendent's Office (DSO) - Guam. Proposal due date is tentatively set for March 12, 2010 @ 4:00 pm. Interested firms must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be awarded any Federal Government contracts. All interested small businesses should register online and subscribe to receive procurement announcements related to this solicitation. Prospective contractors are responsible to visit the site periodically for any changes/updates to the solicitation that may occur. The information may be obtained from the website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Any questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted in writing to the Point of Contact identified.
