Description
RECOVERY ACT: Install New Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC). Work includes, but not limited to, demolition and upgrade of the existing HVAC system servicing the 6th floor including duct work, coils, filters, fans, motors, drives, sensors, valves, insulation, humidifiers, and appurtenances associated with existing AHUs. NON-RECOVERY ACT: 6th Floor Remodel. Work includes, but not limited to, an entire renovation of the 6th floor consisting of a complete gutting of the interior, new metal stud/gypboard construction throughout, new architectural finishes, upgrade of mechanical, plumbing and med gas systems, replacement of electrical power, lighting, and specialty systems and asbestos abatement as required. These are two separately designed projects that correlate with one another. The projects will be issued under one solicitation. However, there will be two separate awards but to the same company due to funding (Recovery Act and non-Recovery Act). This procurement is set-aside 100% for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns. Offers from other than service-disabled veteran owned small business concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. NAICS is 236220 applies, Size Standard is$33.5 million. The construction magnitude for this project is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Solicitation packages will be available on or about February 16, 2010. A public bid opening will be held in Building 5, Room 107 at the VA Medical Center, 4815 North Assembly Street, Spokane, WA 99205 on the date and time stated in Block 13A of the Standard Form 1442, Solicitation, Offer and Award.
