- MRI PhysicistPortland VA Medical Center The Portland (Oregon) U.S. Veterans Administration Medical Center (PVAMC) is seeking one part-time, as needed, local, contract Magnetic Imaging Resonance (MRI) Physicist to provide support services to PVAMC Imaging Division. This is not an agency locum tenens solicitation. Individual must have a doctorate degree in physical sciences/engineering with a minimum of two years experience MRI equipment and MR Physics. Primary duties will be to provide technical feedback regarding equipment function and safety, quality control, treatment techniques and specific application with regard to the direct care of Veteran patients. In addition, assist in the development of departmental Quality Assurance protocol and training program, as well as, contribute to residency educational program of graduate medical trainees from the affiliated medical school. Please see full Statement of Work in attached solicitation #VA-260-10-RQ-0309. All work will be performed the Portland VA Medical center, Portland Oregon. The anticipated start date of this contract is March 31, 2010. Multiple extension options are provided through Fiscal Year 2015. This solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Price, Variation in Estimated Quantities, Non-personal Healthcare contract. Only one award will be made. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Cod is 621999, size standard $10.0 million. Interested parties are encouraged to request a copy of the entire solicitation.
