- Description
- The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a requirements type contract for a basic year with four option years. This is a sole source requirement to WESCAM Inc. (L7P5B9). The requirement is to establish depot-level repair of the AN/AAQ-38/-38A Infrared Detection System( IDS) components in order to support transportation lead time requirements as determined by computations. The requirement will include the following NSNs & P/N: Infrared Receiver 5855-20-004-0812SO P/N: 42618-01 (2EA), Infrared Receiver 5855-20-005-0514SO P/N:42618-03 (3EA), Infrared Receiver 5855-20-004-4163SO P/N:42618-02 (3EA), Infrared Receiver 5855-20-005-0515SO P/N: 42618-04(6EA), Control Converter 5895-20-004-0810SO P/N: 42610-01(15EA), Control Converter 5895-20-004-4164SO P/N: 42610-02 (9EA). The quantities states are BEQ's for the basic period. The government does not have or own a complete data package to compete and qualify a second source. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of title 10, U.S.C. section 2304 ( C) 1 as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)6.302-1, " only one responsible and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This Effort will be sole Source to Wescam Inc. DBA L-3 Communications.
