- This is a Combined Synopsis-Solicitation for Respirometry Instruments.This combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items is prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and A SEPERATE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Tiny planar oxygen mini sensors immobilized onto polyester, 10 piecesSpecifications:-Needs long-term stability-Need to be Easy to handle and robust-Non-invasive and non-destructive measurement from outside through the wall of the flask-No self-consumption of oxygen-Signal independent on flow velocity-Insensible towards electrical interferences and magnetic fields-Measures oxygen in liquids as well as in gas phase-On-line monitoringC. Light cable for oxygen mini sensors with 2 x SMA connectors to fit ARC adapter.D. ARC adapter for round containers with 2 x SMA connectors to fit light cable. This equipment will be used to conduct automated respirometry of fish of different sizes to obtain accurate, precise, and efficient estimates of SMR. This critical data will be used to develop a bioenergetics model for bull trout. The system will allow the measurement of oxygen consumption in four respirometers simultaneously with precise fiber optic technology. The software included in the package will allow the obtainment of real time data, make on-the-fly calculations and complete statistical analysis on the data. The respirometry system will also be used for future studies. Quotes for other than all items, will not be accepted. Delivery Date: 02/16/2010. This solicitation document contains incorporated provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-38, dated 10 January 2010. The solicitation number for this procurement is 10WRQQ0096 and is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This request is issued as an unrestricted procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing - with an applicable size standard of 500 employees. Provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors Commercial Items applies to this acquisition.
