Description: Description: This announcement is part of the Government's Market Research to locate sources for the proposed construction project to remove Elwha and Glines Canyon Dams as part of the Elwha River Ecosystem Restoration Project for Olympic National Park, Washington. The project includes the removal of Elwha and Glines Canyon Dams, power plants, power lines, and associated facilities. The objective of this market research is to notify potential contractors and subcontractors of the upcoming projects and to invite interested parties to attend an industry roundtable to be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 in the Peninsula Room of the Port Angeles Red Lion, 221 N Lincoln Street, Port Angeles, Washington. The roundtable will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. A general overview of the project will be provided at the industry roundtable. No site visit will be held at this meeting. A separate pre-proposal conference and site visit will be conducted after issuance of the Request for Proposal. The National Park Service plans to issue the pre-solicitation notice for the dams removal on or about March 15, 2010 and to issue the RFP on or about March 31, 2010. The estimated range of construction is $40 to $60 million. Parties interested in attending the industry roundtable should respond to this notice by sending a letter of interest to Audrey Winters via e-mail to Audrey_Winters@nps.gov or by FAX to 303/987-5079.
