- The United States Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions and LethalityContracting Center, on behalf of the U.S. Army Armament Research, Development,and Engineering Center (ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is seeking sources todesign an interlocking feature to be used in conjunction with rectangular and cylindrical ammunition containers. The interlocking feature will allow locking of container to container horizontally as well as vertically and ultimately serve as the shipping pallet load for the item with an objective ofeliminating pallet banding. The design is intended to be built into future ammunition container designs. Interested sources are requested to provide a capability statement. This includes, but is not limited to company name, address, telephone number, point of contact, company size (please specify as either Large, Foreign, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), Woman-Owned Small Business, or Service-Disabled Small Business), and applicable documentation/brochure/literature. Respondents shall specifically provide/identify the following information: 1. Name and address, telephone number with Point of Contact. 2. Business type. 3. Description of their Modeling and Simulation Capabilities including software programs utilized. 4. Any history of design work that would be applicable to this capability. 5. Any additional information to describe companys capabilities. 6. Brochures. This market survey is for planning purposes only. This is not a request for proposals and no contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government.The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. Interested sources should submit their qualification data and requested information no later than 1700 hrs EST on 17 February 2010 by email to rebecca.markell@us.army.mil. Interested sources may also submit their qualification data and requested information to JM&L Contracting Center, ATTN: Rebecca Markell, Building 9, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000 no later than 1700 hrs EST on 17 February 2010.
