- Description
- The Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Fort Campbell, KY, has a requirement for TOYOTA ESP 9100 15 - Needle Commercial Embroidery Machine (2 each), with Tubular Hoop Holder, Work Table, Tool Kit, Disk Reader, Cylindrical Cap Option: Wide 270 Deg. Cap, 2 Cap Frames, Cap Gauge, Professional Digitizing Software Forte' PD, and 5 year warranty. The government intends to enter into a firm-fixed-price contract with Pantograms Manufacturing Company Inc., 4537 South Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL 33611-1425. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b) (1) For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g. urgency, exclusive leasing agreement, brand name or industrial mobilization). The basis for restricting competition is that Pantograms Manufacturing Company is the manufacturer of the equipment and software. This equipment must be compatible with existing equipment, software designs and supporting equipment. The NATCS code is 333292 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This sole source requirement will be procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition and awarded on an Unrestricted basis. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and solicitation will not be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the capability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiations with Pantograms Manufacturing Company. Responses are due by February 11, 2010, 3:00 P.M. (CST).
