- This is an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Funded Project. This is a Sustainment, Renovation, Modernization (SRM) project. Proposed contractors to provide infrastructure, demolition and remediation to accommodate replacement of central boiler and air compressor plant with distributed boilers and air compressors located closer to the loads. Provision of boilers and compressors is not part of this project. The project consists of: demolition of existing interior and exterior steam and condensate piping, air piping, boilers and air compressors including asbestos remediation; replacement of air and steam piping in existing buildings; replacement of natural gas piping, installation of fiber optic cable for metering and control, and electric and gas metering to production area buildings; replacement of transite roofing and/ or siding in production area buildings with insulated metal roofs and siding for energy efficiency; repair and upgrade electrical substations and overhead electrical distribution for metering and rate improvement. Portions of the work above will be proposed as Options in addition to the Base Bid. F.O.B. DESTINATION Pine Bluff Arsenal, Jefferson County, AR (Military Controlled Installation) NAICS Code 236220/33.5M. Solicitation W9127S-10-R-6014 will be issued o/a 12 February 2010 and close 0/a 30 March 2010. All proposed contractors shall be bonded for at least 15M and have at least five (5) years of experience in Commercial, Production and or institutional Building Construction. This is an unrestricted acquisition. The Plans and Specification will be posted on ASFI o/a fifteen (15) days after posting of this notice, for all interest contractors.
