- NSN 1025-01-557-2544, Part Number 11581891. Proposed contract is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The item to procure is an Obturator Removal Tool. It is machined from extruded and monomer cast shapes, Polyamid (Nylon,) Type 02, Class 01 in accordance with ASTM D5989, color black. The part has an 8.9 inch O.D. x 5.37 inch thickness and three machined I.D. 6.00, 6.72 and 7.23 inches. FOB is Destination. The proposed contract will be a 3-Year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a guaranteed minimum quantity of 1,086 each and a maximum contract quantity of 2,000 each. Projected estimates are a minimum of 32 each for each subsequent ordering period. These estimates are not guaranteed. The amount guaranteed for this procurement is a minimum quantity of 1,086 each. For use on the M777 Cannon. Estimated issue date is 11 February 2010. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capacity to satisfy the Governments requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to Free Trade Agreements. Offers must be submitted in the English language and in U.S. dollars. Proposed contract is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
