- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT The 316th Contracting Squadron/LGCBC, Joint Base Andrews-NAF Washington, Maryland intends to award a sole source contract to AIR BOSS & CONSULTING INTERNATIONAL, 599 MARMORA AVE, TAMPA FL 33606-3823 for one base period from 14 May 2010 to 16 May 2010 with four option periods to obtain air show support services (Air Boss) for the 2010 Joint Service Open House (JSOH). The JSOH is the premier and largest airshow within the Department of Defense and the air boss is critical to the safe operation for the performers as well as the spectators. The air boss is also critical to the safe and efficient control of scheduled air show event activities and must have at least three or more continuous years of providing show support services airshows within the National Capital Region. The contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and the Title 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any responsible source may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation. The North American Industry Classification System code is 561499, All Other Business Support Services.
