Solicitation DOL110RP20864 SEE SOLICITATION ATTACHED TO THIS AMENDMENT. RESPONSES ARE DUE NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 25TH, 2010, 12 PM EASTERN STANDARD TIME. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and proposals are being requested. The solicitation number is DOL110RP20864, and it is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The projected period of performance is from the date of award to September 30, 2010, plus two twelve-month option periods. This acquisition is 100% set aside for 8(a) firms. All potential offerors must be certified 8(a) prior to the closing date of the solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541519. The size standard is $25 million. The U.S. Department of Labor intends to award a firm fixed price with economic adjustment to a responsive and responsible 8(a) vendor whose proposal meets all the requirements of the solicitation. The acquisition is subject to the availability of funds. The Office of Job Corps is seeking to procure maintenance services for Cisco hardware and software products currently deployed on the Job Corps network. In conjunction with the maintenance portion, Job Corps is also seeking to establish a managed services agreement with an 8(a) vendor who will act as the first point of contract for support and maintenance requests as well as managing the maintenance agreement with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The solicitation along with additional documents such as: (Cisco Hardware and Software Products to be included under the Smartnet Maintenance Contract; Past Performance Information Sheet (PPIS); Past Performance Questionnaire; Subcontractor Consent Form; and Commercial Client Authorization Form) are all attached to this notice under Attachment A through E, respectively.. The solicitation and subsequent amendments, if necessary, will be publicized through the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at www.fbo.gov. Contractors are solely responsible for monitoring the internet to download the solicitation, attachments and any subsequent amendments, if necessary. Paper copies and/or electronic mail of the solicitation and any subsequent amendments will not be provided under any circumstances.
