Description

This is a Sole Source announcement. The Department of the Navy, Space andNaval Warfare Systems Center Pacific intends to award a firm fixed pricecontract to Thermoanalytics, Inc., 23440 Airpark Blvd, Calumet, MI 49913-3923. The contractor will provide basic research to perform infrared analysisutilyzing the Multi-Service Electro-Optic Signature (MuSES) as the Type 18submarine periscope emerges from the sea. This notice of intent is not arequest for competitive proposals. See Note 22. Contract to be awarded IAWSimiplified Acquisition FAR Part 13. No hard copy RFQ will be prepared or madeavailablefor distribution. A determination by the Government not to competebased upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of theGovernment. Authority for other than full and open competitionis 10 USC2304 (c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no othersupplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Theapplicable North American Industry ClassificationSystem (NIACS) code is541712; the size standard is 500 employees.
