- Description
- The scope of this acquisition is to furnish two active vehicle barriers along with integral system components, e.g. control panel, control wiring, warning lights, sensors, etc. Acquisition shall also include installation of the vehicle barrier equipment and the related system components. The barrier equipment shall be installed at the Main Gate located at the 934th Airlift Wing (Minneapolis-St. Paul Air Reserve Station); one in the in-bound gate lane and one in the out-bound gate lane. Each barrier should not be less than 12 feet, 7-3/4 inches in size to ensure no more than a 4 feet gap exists between the barrier and the road edge. Infrastructure (conduit, control panel pad, pavement restoration, etc.) work that is required to support the installation of the barrier equipment will be provided by a separate project/contract. The separate project was designated as QJKL 08-0021, Install Vehicle Barrier. A copy of the drawings for project QJKL 08-0021 are attached for reference only. The contractor for the vehicle barrier equipment shall need to closely coordinate with the Government when it comes to time for installation.
