- Description
- This procurement is being solicited as "UNRESTRICTED" to local contractors within Japan with the intent to award a Firm Fixed Price Construction contract for Whole House Renovation of Midrise 1200 (ID 259469), U. S. MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. The solicitation includes but is not limited to conversion of vehicle parking into community area; enclosure of building drive-thru entry; provision of vestibule at the main and back entrances, private storages at the core area of each floor and empty conduits and antenna mast to support the mass notification system to be installed under different project; replacement of kitchen base and wall cabinets, ceiling, wall and floor tiles, carpets, rooftop perimeter chain-link fence, exterior windows, balcony and window rails, all interior doors including frame and hardware, plumbing fixtures, medicine cabinets, fan-coil units, cooling tower, water chiller unit, expansion tank, pumps, chilled, hot, dual temperature piping and associated acce! ssories, exhaust fans, range hoods, elevator system, fire alarm system, TV outlet, receptacles, phone jacks, exterior and interior lighting fixtures including wirings and switches, circuit breakers in all existing panel boards and transformer; interior paining; restoration, cleaning and incidental related work.This contract will have a base and eleven (11) additive items due to budget constraints and unpredictability of bids. The contract shall 510 calendar days (including administrative work) after the date of award. Award will be made to the most responsible offeror whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, is the most advantageous and offers the best value to the Government considering technical and price evaluation factors.The Government intends to issue the Request for Proposal (RFP) by Asian NECO. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or abut 20 January 2010 with proposals in yen within a closing date of 04 March 2010. The entire solicitation, including Specifications and drawings will be uploaded in Asian NECO. A Pre-Proposal conference is scheduled at 09:00 AM on 27 January 2010, at Bldg. 360, ROICC conference room. Site visit is scheduled at 09:30AM on 27 January 2010 after the Pre-Proposal Conference is over.
